Copenhagen Connecting wins World Smart City Award 2014

Copenhagen Solutions Lab is proud to announce that our project Copenhagen Connecting has been awarded the prestigious World Smart Cities Award in Barcelona.

Copenhagen Connecting is a concept for a digital infrastructure, that allows for smart city solutions to be easily implemented in the city, and thereby giving way for achieving the ambitious goals of the city. The concept has been thoroughly analysed and the socio-economic benefits have been measured, estimating a 4.4 billion Danish kroner gain from fully implementing the project.

The smart city award is given annually at the Smart City World Expo in Barcelona. Next to Copenhagen, Tel Aviv, Israel and Medellin, Columbia were also awarded.
